High quality radiographs, fast
The Velopex MD2000 processor works fast.  Dry-to-dry radiographs of high quality are available in just three minutes, supporting the veterinary surgeon’s or clinician’s diagnosis while the patient is still under treatment.

Unique film transport system
The key to the processor’s performance and efficiency is the unique Velopex film transport system, which holds each x-ray film stationary and gently protected between two continuous permeable belts.  This well-proven system virtually eliminates the risk of film loss and ensures uniform exposure to the chemicals for consistently excellent results.

Automatic processing
The MD2000 is very easy to use.  Switch on, and the processing chemicals are brought to working temperature automatically.  Press the ‘RUN’ button, post the films through the loader entry slot and the machine develops them dry-to-dry in three minutes without further attention.  It then remains on standby, maintaining the correct temperature for immediate further use.

Large capacity
With its rapid throughput and 35cm (14”) track width, the MD2000 allows
the continuous loading in random order of x-ray films up to 30 x 40cm or
full chest plate size (35 x 43cm).

No darkroom necessary
The MD2000 has smart, clean lines and requires no screening from view.   An optional lightproof loader allows the Velopex MD2000 to be used without a darkroom, avoiding the associated risk of film fogging and relieving staff from working with chemicals in a dark, confined space.  The loader offers the added convenience of a light-tight compartment for storing unexposed films, ready for use (maximum size for handling with loader 30 x 40cm).

Deep processing tanks
Deep chemical tanks provide a long film transport path, ensuring generous contact with the processing solutions.  The shape of the tanks keeps the surface area small, reducing the effects of chemical oxidation and evaporation.

Chemical agitation system
The MD2000 incorporates a pumped chemical agitation system to ensure the accurate and stable operating temperature essential for radiographs of consistently high diagnostic quality.  Water flow is controlled automatically.

Automatic chemical replenishment
An automatic replenishment system is fitted, ensuring that the developer and fixer tanks are always filled to optimum level, extending the life of chemicals between changes.

Compact and easily installed
An optional machine stand is available, the MD2000 has smart, clean lines and requires no screening from view.  Installation is simple, requiring only a suitable power socket, cold water supply and water outlet.

Minimal maintenance
Routine chemical replacement and cleaning are quick and straightforward, and the entire machine is designed for long life, maximum reliability and simple user servicing.  The unique modular construction of the film transport system ensures that, should a transport module ever require renewal, it can be replaced in seconds at modest cost.
