The First Velopex Zephyr, sold in the UK, was delivered to Dr Geoff Bernays in Northwood. Dr Bernays had been using a pre-production unit and recently took delivery of Velopex Zephyr No1. When asked about the unit, Dr Bernays commented: “It’s great, quiet and efficient and saves having air lines all over the place – my Aquacut Quattro is on the worktop and the air lines only go direct to the chair. I use the Aquacut Quattro all of the time, so the new compressor makes life very easy”.
The Velopex Zephyr 150 Surgery Air Supply, is the first Compressor designed specifically to be sited within the Dental Surgery – rather than outside in a shed. The neat clean lines and white powder coat finish make this powerful compressor an easy addition to a Dental Surgery, either mounted on a Velopex trolley or sited within cabinetry. The low noise signature of this oil free twin-head design, make it suitable for all occasions. When mounted on the Velopex Trolley (which can also house the Velopex Aquacut Quattro as well as the Velopex Colour Diode Laser) the Velopex Zephyr can provide all of the compressed air requirement of the surgery. This is done through twin outlets. Using one fixed pressure output for the Velopex Aquacut Quattro at 7.5bar and the other variable output – up to 7.5bar - the Velopex Zephyr can be used to power air turbines as well as scalers, 3-in-1 syringes, chairs or side delivery units.
The small capacity holding tank means low maintenance. Whilst the fast cycle twin head pump provides over 150 litres of dry compressed air per minute. This makes one Velopex Zephyr 150 the ideal base for a complete surgery air supply.
By going for surgery based air supply units rather than lager centrally sited compressors, there is significantly less chance of a catastrophic failure - causing total loss of compressed air. This will significantly reduce the need to cancel patients.
By using the patented Velopex ‘Draft Dry’ system, the Velopex Zephyr produces dry, clean compressed air. All you have to do is site the unit with plenty of air flow around it and work away, safe in the knowledge that Velopex products run and run…
