Dentistry Scotland Winning Entry

February 2009, was a lucky month for one Dentistry Scotland reader. Dr Hazel Coventry, who previously had only ever won a bottle of champagne, scooped the FREE Aquacut Quattro in the Velopex Competition on p48 of the February issue. The competition closed on the first of June and later that week, a surprised and delighted Dr Coventry was presented with her prize. Dr Coventry whose husband, son and daughter are all dentists runs an NHS practice in Newmains near Wishaw and is looking forward to starting work with the Aquacut Quattro.

900th Aquacut Quattro Installed

Hellesdon in Norfolk, is now firmly on the map as far as Fluid Abrasion is concerned! The 900th Velopex Aquacut Quattro has been installed at Dr Chris Lefkaditis ‘s busy Dental Practice, in Middletons Lane, Hellesdon. This light and airy building provides a superb backdrop for this busy dental practice - which now offers all patients the availability of fluid abrasion: Cleaning and Treating, in a calm soothing environment. Dr Lefkaditis commented: “It’s great! It’s an essential part of modern technology in a modern practice!”.

First Velopex Zephyr 150 Surgery Air Supply Installed

The First Velopex Zephyr, sold in the UK, was delivered to Dr Geoff Bernays in Northwood. Dr Bernays had been using a pre-production unit and recently took delivery of Velopex Zephyr No1. When asked about the unit, Dr Bernays commented: “It’s great, quiet and efficient and saves having air lines all over the place – my Aquacut Quattro is on the worktop and the air lines only go direct to the chair. I use the Aquacut Quattro all of the time, so the new compressor makes life very easy”.
