  Important
Remove powder cartridges from powder chambers before opening or moving the Aquacut Quattro.

Unit location

The Aquacut Quattro unit should be sited on a rigid work surface or on a purpose built dental trolley with the controls in easy reach of the clinician. Do not place the unit close to the edge of or allow it to overhang the work surface. The unit should be kept within a temperature range of -10°C and +40°C (14°F and 104°F) and below 80% humidity.
NOTE: The Aquacut Quattro uses light vibration to
dispense the powder and any lack of rigidity of the work
surface could adversely affect the performance of the unit.
A purpose built trolley is available for the Aquacut Quattro, which can incorporate an in-built Velopex compressor.
Setting up the supply lines Secondary gas supply

Connect the air and secondary gas supply lines by pushing both tubes fully into the corresponding colour coded connectors   Blanking plug recommended when alternative gas supply is not in use.
Unit location

Setting up the foot control
Site the foot control near to the Aquacut Quattro unit, in an ergonomic position for the clinician.
Secondary gas supply
Connect foot control to the back of the unit by pushing each
coloured tube fully into its colour coded connector.
Connecting the foot control
Press the plastic ring inward with your thumb. Keep the plastic ring pressed in while gently pulling the tube out.
Secondary gas supply
Open the service compartment; press down lightly on top of the unit, pull release catch and allow the main body of the unit to open.

Take out the fluid tank peel back the lid and fill with the supplied Velopex cutting fluid.

Replace the fluid tank and main body. ENSURE fluid tube is correctly inserted through the fluid tank lid as shown.
Close the main body.
Setting up the powder chambers Powder selection
Select the correct grade of powder for a specific operation by choosing the colour of the powder cartridge.
Loading the powder chambers with powder
cartridges
Ensure the unit is turned off and depressurised and the correct colour coded lid is fitted to the corresponding chamber.

Peel off the upper yellow sealing tab, and then remove the lower yellow draw tab.

Position the powder cartridge over the powder chamber so that the tub and slot groove line up. Slide the cartridge down into the chamber until fully seated.

Removing and storing a partially used powder cartridge
Ensure the Aquacut Quattro is turned off and
depressurised. Open the powder chamber,
gently lift the powder cartridge
out and place in the storage
container supplied.

  Important
Do not turn on the air supply until both powder chamber
lids have been fully closed. Ensure the Aquacut Quattro unit is switched off and wait 30 seconds for the unit to depressurise before attempting to open the dosing chamber lids. All powder cartridges supplied by Velopex are gamma irradiated once filled and are non-reusable.

Slide the handle forward on to the nozzle head until it clicks into position.
Take a new disposable tip, slipping the safety catch over the nozzle head as shown and fit the tip onto the nozzle head.
